Letter to the Parents

Crane ISD Parents, Staff, and Students

Due to the COVID-19 virus threat, school will remain closed until Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  I have had several meetings with the Texas Education Agency and they are working to develop a plan of action for the State.  However, the CDC is suggesting that schools be closed for three (3) weeks and the State is trying to finalize a plan. I have another meeting at 3:00 PM tomorrow and hopefully TEA will be able to explain their plan of action.  I do not want any parents to have to find child care on Sunday night so I wanted to give you as much notice as I could. At this point I am hoping that this will not be a three week closure but that is a possibility so I want you to be prepared.  I will update you with more information as soon as possible. For now, classes will begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 ,but stay tuned for another update soon. Thanks for your patience. Janet Hunt, Superintendent
