CES would like to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Nikolai Lujan!
Yesterday, a social media post circulated threatening violence at Crane ISD schools. Local law enforcement have investigated the issue and found the threat to be unsubstantiated, and the suspect was arrested. Crane ISD is committed to providing a safe learning environment, and school will continue as usual with ongoing security protocols.

Due to dangerous driving conditions, Crane ISD has canceled school for Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. School will resume at normal time on Wednesday, January 28th.

As we approach winter weather season, we want to remind everyone how potential school closures would be communicated if needed:
5am - District Leadership will evaluate road conditions to determine if school closure or late start* is needed.
6am - If closure or late start* is needed, school communication would begin including social media posts, updates on www.craneisd.com , text messages, and phone callouts to parents and staff.
Throughout the school day - School Leadership would communicate any changes to after-school activities.
*A late start would result in school starting at 10am with morning buses running two hours later than their regular schedule.

CISD January 2026 Breakfast and Lunch Menus
For families that have chosen to use the MySchoolBucks FamilyPass program, Heartland solutions has determined that they will discontinue that program. This will only affect families that chose to sign up for the FamilyPass program.
Crane ISD will perform a lockdown drill at all campuses this morning at 9:30am. These drills are required by the state and are an opportunity for schools to practice potential emergency procedures.
This morning, a Crane ISD staff member inadvertently put all campuses into a momentary lockdown. This was an accident, and there was no emergency. The lockdown lasted approximately two minutes, and then campuses continued operating as usual.
