The Board of Trustees of the Crane Independent School District met
on Monday, August 04, 2003
in special session with
the following members present:

Item 1
Mr.
Frymire, Board President, called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Item 2
Discussion
and possible approval of 2003-04 student code of conduct.
Ray
North moved, seconded by Manuel Cadena, to approve the student code of
conduct
for the 2003-2004 school year as presented. Adopted
unanimously.
Item 3
Executive
Session.
President
Frymire ordered the board to adjourn into executive session pursuant to
the
Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code chapters 551.074 and
551.072
for the purpose of discussing personnel and real property. Time: 5:10 p.m.
President
Frymire ordered the executive session closed and the regular session be
resumed
at 5:55 p.m. He also stated that no
items of business were conducted in the executive session.

action(s) arising from executive session.
Jerry
Smith moved, seconded by Sandy Hubbard, to accept Superintendent Mitchell's
recommendation
to offer a professional probationary teacher contract for the
2003-2004
school year to Rachael Selby. Adopted unanimously.

school year to Rhanda Emery. Adopted unanimously.
Mitchell's
recommendation to offer a professional probationary teacher contract for
the
2003-2004 school year to Kathy Cornelius. Adopted
unanimously.

school year to Christie Bagwell. Adopted unanimously.
Superintendent
Mitchell reported that two small lots and a house due north of our
high
school parking lot are available for sale.
Sandy Hubbard moved, seconded by Manuel Cadena, to purchase property
located at 716 & 718 South Mary from Teresa Bayless for the price of
$10,000 plus all closing costs pending clear title.
Those
voting in favor of the motion were Sid Frymire, Ray North, Sandy
Hubbard, Helen Romeiser, Manuel Cadena and Jerry Smith.
Those
voting against the motion was Tommy Bishop. Motion passed.
Item 5
Sandy
Hubbard moved, seconded by Helen Romeiser, to adjourn the meeting.
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Adopted unanimously.
