SPECIAL MEETING

         Crane Independent School District

     Monday, July 21, 2003

 

The Board of Trustees of the Crane Independent School District met on

Monday, July 21, 2003  in special session with the following members present:

 

Sid Frymire, President Sandy Hubbard, Secretary Helen Romeiser, Assistant Secretary	Jerry Smith Tommy Bishop
Administrators Present were: Ryder Warren, Superintendent	Ken Eudy, Business Manager
Other Guests were: Wayne Mitchell

Item 1

Mr. Frymire, Board President, called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

 

Item 2    Executive Session.

President Frymire ordered the board to adjourn into executive session pursuant to

the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code chapter 551.074 for the

purpose of discussing personnel issues.  Time: 7:05  p.m.

President Frymire ordered the executive session closed and the regular session be

resumed at 8:10 p.m.  He also stated that no items of business were conducted in the

executive session.

 

Item  3 Possible action(s) arising from executive session.

Jerry Smith moved, seconded by Tommy Bishop, to employ Wayne Mitchell as

Interim Superintendent beginning July 22, 2003 at a daily rate of:  $408.48.

Adopted unanimously.

 

At this time, Board Member Manuel Cadena entered the meeting.

President Frymire again ordered the board to adjourn into executive session pursuant

to the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code chapter 551.074 for the

purpose of discussing personnel issues.  Time: 8:20 p.m.

President Frymire ordered the executive session closed and the regular session be

resumed at 9:15 p.m.  He also stated that no items of business were conducted in the

executive session.

Sandy Hubbard moved, seconded by Tommy Bishop, to adjourn the meeting.   

Time:  9:16 p.m.    Adopted unanimously.
