The Board of Trustees of the Crane Independent School District met on Thursday, July 08, 2004
in special
session with the following members present:

Item 1 Mr. Bishop, Board President, called the
meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Sid
Frymire led the invocation. The Pledge
of Allegiance was recited by all.
Item 2 Conduct budget workshop.
Superintendent
Lee and Business Manager Eudy updated the board on projected
property
values, recapture and requested expenses.
Superintendent Lee and
Director
of Physical Services Swinford then led a discussion on prioritizing special
projects.
Item 3 Executive Session: Personnel.
President
Bishop ordered the board to adjourn into executive session pursuant to the
Texas
Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code chapter 551.074 for the purpose
of
discussing personnel issues. Time: 7:30
p.m.
President
Bishop ordered the executive session closed and the regular session be
resumed
at 8:24 p.m. He also stated that no
items of business were conducted in the
executive session.
Item 4 Consider/Approve hiring of professional
staff.
Jerry
Smith moved, seconded by Helen Romeiser, to accept Superintendent Lee's
recommendation
to offer a professional probationary teacher contract subject to
assignment
for the 2004-2005 school year to Judy Wisener. Adopted
unanimously.
Item 5 Consider/Approve proposal to terminate
contract of administrator.
Sid
Frymire moved, seconded by Jerry Smith, to propose the contract termination of
administrator
Danny Dillard and authorize the Superintendent to send him the
appropriate
notices.
Those
voting in favor of the motion were Sid Frymire, Jerry Smith, Tommy
Bishop
and Helen Romeiser.
Those
voting against the motion were Sandy Hubbard and Denise Shetter.
Motion
passed.
Item 6 Sid Frymire moved, seconded by Helen
Romeiser, to adjourn the meeting.
Adopted
unanimously. Time: 8:29 p.m.
