         Crane Independent School District

    Tuesday, June 10, 2003

 

The Board of Trustees of the Crane Independent School District met on Tuesday, June 10, 2003
in special session with the following members present:

 

Sid Frymire Ray North  Sandy Hubbard Helen Romeiser	Tommy Bishop Manuel Cadena Jerry Smith
Administrators Present Ryder Warren, Superintendent	Ken Eudy, Business Manager

 

Item 1

Mr. Frymire, Board President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

 

Item 2     Executive session.

President Frymire ordered the board to adjourn into executive session pursuant to

the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas government Code chapter 551.074 for the

purpose of discussing personnel issues.    Time:  7:02 p.m.

President Frymire ordered the executive session closed and the regular session be

resumed at 9:00 p.m.  He also stated that no items of business were conducted in the

 executive session.  At 8:00 p.m. board member Manuel Cadena, Sr. exited the

meeting due to a prior commitment.

 

Item 3     Discussion and possible approval of 2003-2004 Superintendent's performance goals.

Sid Frymire moved, seconded by Tommy Bishop, to approve the 2003-2004 Superintendent's performance goals as presented with additions.    Adopted unanimously.       See Exhibit A.

 

Item 4     Budget workshop.

Superintendent Warren reported on estimated property values and explained Texas

public school funding as it stands now.  He also reported that the special legislative

session coming later this summer may change school funding significantly.

Tommy Bishop moved, seconded by Sandy Hubbard, to adjourn the meeting.   

Time:  9:20 p.m.     Adopted unanimously.
