CRANE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

August 16, 2007

 

 

Notice is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Crane Independent School District Board of Education will be held on August 16, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Room of the Crane ISD Administration Building, 511 West 8th Street, Crane, Texas.

 

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:

 

Agenda:

 

1.       Call meeting to order

2.       Invocation and Pledge

3.       Recognition of visitors

4.       Public Forum

5.       Public comment on proposed budget/tax rate

6.       Revision to Policy CI(LOCAL) – School Property Disposal

7.       Addition of FNA(LOCAL) Policy – Students Rights and Responsibilities – Student Expression

8.       Contract with County of Crane for Tax Collection

9.       Course Exemption List for UIL purposes for 2007-2008 school year

10.   Adoption of 2007-2008 Budget

11.   Adoption of the tax rate for 2007-2008 school year by resolution

12.   Administrative Reports

13.   Executive Session

a.       Personnel – discuss appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of an employee under Gov. Code Sec. 551.074

14.   Hiring of professional staff

15.   Consent Agenda to include:

a.       Approve minutes of previous meeting(s)

b.       Current bills

c.       Finance report

16.   Adjournment

 

If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item on the Agenda should be held in executive or closed session, the Board will convene in such Executive or Closed Session in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
