CRANE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

May 18, 2006

 

 

Notice is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Crane Independent School District Board of Education will be held on May 18, 2006, at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Room of the Crane ISD Administration Building, 511 West 8^th Street, Crane, Texas.

 

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:

 

Agenda:

 

1.       Call meeting to order

2.       Invocation and Pledge

3.       Recognition of visitors

4.       Public Forum

5.       Canvass May 13, 2006, School Board Elections for two At-Large positions and the unexpired term for Precinct 4

6.       Administer Oath of Office to elected Board Members

7.       Appoint Crane ISD Tax Assessor to calculate 2006 effective rate

8.       Approve special education purchase

9.       Purchase hardware/software programs for PK-5 to include Waterford, Success Maker and Study Island

10.   Laptop carts for district

11.   Budget Amendments

12.   Technology Purchase

13.   Trustee Textbook Certification Form

14.   Administrative Reports

15.   Executive Session to include:

a.       Personnel

16.   Hiring of Professional Staff

17.   Consent Agenda to include:

a.       Minutes of previous meeting(s)

b.       Current bills

18.   Adjourn

 

If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item on the Agenda should be held in executive or closed session, the Board will convene in such Executive or Closed Session in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
