Notice of Regular Meeting – Board of Education

CRANE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

February 14, 2008

 

 

Notice is hereby given that at a regular meeting of the Crane Independent School District Board of Education will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the Board Room of the Crane ISD Administration Building, 511 West 8th Street, Crane, Texas.

 

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:

 

Agenda:

 

1.       Call meeting to order

2.       Invocation and Pledge

3.       Recognition of visitors

4.       Public Forum

5.       Review/approve proposal for Construction Manager at Risk for Phase I – Elementary Project

6.       Call Trustee Election for May 10, 2008, for the purpose of electing board members in Place 1, Place 2 and Place 5 (unexpired term)

7.       Name Alicia Dominguez as Election Judge and Lisa Sanchez as Alternate Judge for May election and to name Leigh Ann McCain and Karla Harbin as Early Voting Clerks.

8.       Announce Board Training Status

9.       Approve 2008-2009 District Calendar

10.   Waiver for Staff Development days

11.   Textbook Adoptions

12.   Repeal of all previously adopted policies and adoption of (Local) policies as prepared by TASB Policy Service, inclusive through Update 82.

13.   Budget Amendments

14.   Consider audit firm to perform 2007-2008 Financial Audit

15.   Administrative Reports

16.   Executive Session

a.       Personnel – discuss appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of an employee under Gov. Code Sec. 551.074

a.       High School Principal, Elementary Principal, Athletic Director, Curriculum Director, Special Education Director, Technology Director, Business Manager

b.       Chief Assessor, Food Service Director, Maintenance/Transportation Director, Network Technician

18.   Consent Agenda to include:

a.       Minutes of Previous Meeting(s)

b.       Financial Report and Current Bills

19.   Adjournment

 

If, during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item on the Agenda should be held in executive or closed session, the Board will convene in such Executive or Closed Session in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
