VISUAL ARTS SCHOLASTIC EVENT |
In this event students are asked
to exhibit and defend their art work. They must be able to define the
media, inspiration, and style of their work. This takes a knowledge of
art history, methods, materials, techniques, and evaluation skills. CMS
students prove themselves up to the task by bringing home the highest
rating in this event. |

Athletics help students to
discover, improve, and utilize physical and mental skills while learning
teamwork and good sportsmanship. Students also develop a life-long love
of sport and physical fitness. CMS students represent themselves and
their school well in athletic competition. As in most other competitions
that CMS students participate in, many championships and awards are
taken home by the student athletes at Crane Middle School. |
|
BAND |
CMS
students participating in the band program at CMS not only learn to play
an instrument really well under the tutelage of our dedicated staff,
they also gain valuable experience in working with others. The CMS Band
also affords students opportunities to perform in public and test their
skills against other students in the state. The band regularly brings
home the best ratings for both group and individual performances. |
| STUDENT COUNCIL |
The
Student Council at CMS consists of officers and representatives chosen
by the student body. Other students volunteer to be a part of this
organization that works to serve and represent the school. The student
council sponsors activities to promote school spirit and also encourages
students to become more civic in their activities away from school. |
