The purpose of the Computer Science contest is to challenge high school students to study a broad range in the areas of computer science and gain an understanding of programming.  The current programming language that students use is Java.  Students have 45 minutes of working time for the written test, and two hours for the programming component at regional and states meets.  This event is a great start for students who plan to continue studying computers.
