The UIL Science contest students' knowledge of scientific facts and principles and the ability to apply that information in different situations.  The test consists of 20 questions Each in biology, chemistry, and physics.  At most meets students compete against opponents in their own grade level.  Like other UIL academic events, this contest will help them develop test-taking skills for futures SAT and ACT examinations and could help them to win scholarships.
