Social Sutdies  rewards students for knowledge of what is going on in the world about them.  In Current Events and Issues, students must be informed about state, national, and international issues of importance.  All students can benefit from a greater awareness fo these issuse, and anyone who seriously studies for this competition will have a strong preparation for the kind of test that students will face in college.
