I think everyone already knows this but I am going to tell you anyways, my TWO favorite sports are track and volleyball. I know this may come to you as a shock but if I had to choose I would pick volleyball. Now don't get me wrong I love track but I am really wanting to pursue volleyball further than High School, but I think if I got a great offer for track I am not sure I could turn it down. So anywho we are at the beginning of track season right now and I will try to keep you updated on how we do!
Although, ya'll probably already know we had the state track meet this weekend in Austin. We left Crane on Thursday, went to the track meet on Friday evening to watch the 3A and 4A run, and on Saturday we ran in the heat of the day. We did pretty good. On the boys side Chris Aguilar won the pole vault keeping the state title in the Aguilar family with a vault of 15'6 the exact same height as his brother Chad. Isidro won the quarter which was really exciting for him and for everyone. The sprint relay didn't metal but ran very well. And the mile relay got second placing them 3rd in the team standings. Now for the girls, Chelsea threw very well but did not place. I did high jump and just came short of getting a bronze metal. And well lets not talk about the 300 m hurdles. We will just say I didn't have a good day I got 5th I think. But our mile relay also placed second. Out of all the years I have been to state this was my first metal and I think it was for everyone also. So we were really excited. I also got to go to Sea World on Sunday after the meet.
