Who Won and Who lost!

Well of course the Super Bowl was another great one!  But this year there was a lot more winning and losing than in the past Super Bowls!  What do you mean? You ask.  Well of course the Giants one but their were different types of winning and losing that went on during and after the game.

Who Won!

Who Lost!

The New York Giants Defensive Line:  Can you say put some pressure on the QB.  It seemed all night Brady was being put on his back.  The defense never let down and kept coming after Tom Brady all night long until the final tick went off. The Patriots Offensive Line:  I don't know if the line had their feet to close together or what.  But it didn't look to me like they even wanted to block out there.  I guess MasterCard better find some more spokesmen because if their card protects like the Patriots linemen there is going to be a lot of people in debt!
The Eli Manning:  For being doubted by many, he came out and played lights out in a type of environment where that is all you can play.  He did a really excellent job not trying to do too much but letting his teammates help him out.  He did a great job escaping pressure and really was the MVP of the Super Bowl!

The Tom Brady:  I have no clue what he was doing out there.  He didn't seem to be in sync all night long.  I know that his linemen were not giving him enough time to throw the ball but when there wasn't any pressure he was throwing the ball high and wasn't throwing with a lot of accuracy.  He didn't look like the same cocky Tom Brady that got him to where he is today.

The David Tyree:  Any guy who can catch a ball with his helmet is definitely going to win.  This catch kept the Giants hearts in the game and provided a lot of much need momentum.  He did a great job with body control and really made a big play when they needed one. The Bill Belichick:  I don't care how bad your team is getting beat.  You can not just walk off the field with one second left on the clock.  This was a very unsportsmanlike thing to do as well as a cowardly thing to do!  He should be fined for something like that.  I mean all year long the New England Patriots have patted their stats by running up the score on lesser opponents.  Now when you are losing by three you want to go into the locker room and leave the other team out there.  Very Very unprofessional.
The Wes Welker:  Being from Tech is something I can look past.  Wes was the game changer for this Patriot team, he did a great job of providing a nice target for Tom Brady especially on third down situations.  I think if the Patriots would have won the Super Bowl that he would receive the MVP honors and not Tom Brady. The Asante Samuel:  I personally feel sorry for this guy.  He had a chance to end the game early by intercepting a pass thrown by Eli Manning.  Eli and his receiver were on the wrong page and threw a horrible pass that went right through Asante Samuel's hand.  If he would have caught that ball the Patriots would be Super Bowl winners and have a 19-0 record instead Eli Manning had two touchdown passes instead of two interceptions.
The Giant Fans:  The fans never doubted their team and look what it led to the NFL Championship.  What a great effort by a great team.  They made the plays when they needed to and now are Super Bowl Champions once again. The Patriots Everything:  Being 18-1 is always going to stay with them.  They can not build up from the lost until they win the Super Bowl next season.  A lot of fans are disappointed in their team but are still going to support them through whatever comes.  Their shot at a perfect season is over and I don't think they can match it next season.
