My name is Levi and I was born in raised in Iraan. I
moved to Crane at age 11. My talents had always been baseball
and tennis until I had to choose between the two knowing that I had
the opportunity to improve greatly at both. Working hard from
age 5 on both sports was a difficult decision, but for some reason I
chose tennis. I continue till this day to play tennis and work
out. It was in September of 2007 when I questioned my
abilities because I knew that I couldn't handle the constant
fluctuation of the emotions of winning and loosing. I turned
to God for this answer. He has always been there for me, but I
only ran to His comfort when I was weak. The thought still
nagged at me and the question of whether or not I wanted to play
tennis. In December of 2007 I attending a LEAD retreat with
First Baptist Youth and traveled with them to Ruidoso, New Mexico.
It was an amazing experience and I was questioned with, "What is
your passion. What do your friends know you as when they think
of your name." Surely the answer was tennis and I knew that it
was going to change right then.
Since then I have changed my passion. My passion now is
to live for the one who makes me who I am. I have been on the
battle of finding out who I am, but the amazing thing is that with
the grace of God shed upon me and I am a new creation. Who I
am now is nothing but a mere reflection upon my relationship with
God.
