My name is Kayla Joy.
I have lived in the small town of Crane, TX, ever since I was born.
My life story is simple, but I could probably rattle on all day about myself.
There's nothing extraordinary about me, besides the fact I don't like cheese,
and maybe that's not such a big deal because I've met a few others that share my
lack of desire for the stuff.
The biggest importance in my life is God.
My Senior year was a roller-coaster of doubt, certainty, determination, and
fear.
Through all of it though, I learned what it truly means to put all my trust in
God,
knowing He's got the best plan in my life.
Yes, I've made mistakes, and No, sometimes it's not easy, but for those you of
out there
that wake up in the mornings unhappy, you long to fill the loneliness, and void
in your heart,
PLEASE COME TALK TO ME!
I may not have all the answers to your questions, but I do know the
answer and that's Jesus.
And I can honestly say He is my best friend.
As of August 2008, I will be attending Texas Bible College, in Lufkin, TX.
I was asked in an interview where I see myself in 5 years, and I have to say I
really
don't know. Where ever life takes me, and whatever I accomplish I
hope I have been successful, and if nothing else I'd like to be exactly
where God wants me.
I have learned His plans are SO much different than my own!
That's why I'm taking it one step at a time, but I'm certain
TBC is what I'm suppose to do right now.
So for the rest of my senior year, and summer my life will be spent working at My Friends Grill (I have been working
There since July 2005), and being the piano/worship leader for my church.
The second biggest importance in my life is my family.
My dad is my hero. There has never been a time in my life
when I thought my dad as lazy.
Ever since I was a little girl, my dad has always worked hard so my mom wouldn’t
have to work.
My dad has many things he does, but his main focus is being the pastor at our
church Times of Refreshing.
He is also working on his 28th year at Chevron/Texaco.
My mom, well she is a saint. Not only is she very
talented, but so patient, giving, sweet, and full of love.
For fun she sews, decorates, and cooks (which she does better than anyone else
in the world), and I am so thankful she has always been
at home for me when I was sick or just simply needed her.
My Parents have been together for over 27 yrs.
Jennifer is my oldest sister, who is now married to an
amazing guy: Josh Smith.
Karena is the second oldest, and she is also married to an amazing guy named
Josh. :-)
It really gets confusing sometimes, but God has certainly blessed my family by
adding on two handsome and brilliant men. Julia is the youngest of the four, but
sometimes seems more mature than me. She has great compassion, and is so blessed
with ability.
My sisters are my greatest friends in life. I could go on forever about all
three of them.
Last but certainly not least, my time is consumed with all
my amazing friends. Among all the blessings in my life, my friends are one of
the biggest.
Not many people truly have many true best friends in their life, but for
me, there are several people that have always been there for me, that
I’ve shared amazing times with, and I couldn’t have made it without them.
There are many people that I truly love, and am thankful for, but there are
three specific people that have been there for me through many thick times, and
painful thin times.
Jessica Castaneda is the oldest of my best friends. We’ve had so much fun
together on our many road trips, and she’s helped me out of my sticky
situations,
never looking down on me. She’s so encouraging and uplifting. Amy Parker. That
girl has been there for me ever since 4th grade.
To tell you all the times we have shared, and how much she means to me would be
an all day event. Audrey Autry is truly awesome. I love her to death, we’ve had
ups and downs, but we always end up with a photo, a smile, and one good time!

And now that’s basically my life.
