Skate
or Die

Skating is how I have spent
most of my free time for the past year.
I started skating back in March of 07, and since then I haven't let down.
I love the feeling of accomplishment of learning a trick and progressing in
skill.
I see skating as more of an art than a sport.
With skating you can make up your own stuff that no one has done, and just be
your self on a board.
The number of tricks I can do is pretty limited, here's a couple:
Ollie (180, Fakie), Shuv-it (Fakie), Boneless, 50-50, and almost a kick flip.
I plan on learning more as I keep skating.
I also enjoy ollieing off of and over stuff, About the highest I can Ollie is
over another board, and ollie off of about a 3 stair.
Lately I have
noticed that younger kids have picked up skating, I guess from seeing all of us
around town.
I really hope the skate scene strengthens as time goes on, and that they
all stick with it.
It's a bit of a hassle to
find any good skate spots here in Crane, since just about
everywhere we go we end up getting kicked off.
But thanks to the County and the AOS (Ace Of Skate), Crane has planed on
building us a skate park.
Like I have mentioned
before, this has been our goal since early summer 07.
We have planned, discussed, and proven that this what this town needs,
to the town commissioner.
I'm not sure of the
exact placement of the park yet ,and I don't really care as long as we get one.
A lot has
changed since then...
