Stones Home Center began as
a dream by Jim & Dorothy Stone in July of 1970. The store started out
as a Western Auto Store in a small building down town across from
the Methodist Church. It later moved north to a larger building. As
business grew, the store was moved in the 1980's to its present
location. The store has evolved from a Western Auto to a True Value,
to an Ace. As the store grew we put in a separate furniture store at
the original down town location. The store has provided a living for
many family members and loyal employees. The store is currently
operated by Louis & Barbara Stone. We are very appreciative of our
community and all that it has given to us. Thanks to the years of
hard work and sacrifice by Jim & Dorothy and the values of hard work
and discipline they taught their children, the store is a success
today. |
