To know a little more about the background of La Mexicana we can tell where it began. In 1988 Brenda P. Sanchez and Square "Arturo" Sanchez had planned to open up a Mexican restaurant in Sonora, Texas, hoping it would be a great success. What they dreamed of was a huge success. Well with the running two business Brenda would run the restaurant where as Square ran his construction company. It has been a experience for Brenda running this restaurant, especially since 2004 when here husband passed away. Her son-in-law, Rene, and daughter, Tabitha, have helped here greatly on running this business, as well as the workers that work for her. The restaurant has been running for 18 years going onto 19, many locals deeply admire the family and business that they have given.
