Library Mini Lesson

FICTION:  All library materials have call numbers or call letters on their spine.  The HMS library uses F for fiction and the first letter of the last name of the author.  We have recently started using the first 3 letters of the last name of the author, which makes it easier for shelving and locating. Ex - Miss Daisy is Crazy by Dan Gutman...

BIOGRAPHY:  We label the spine with B and the first 3 letters of the person the book is about.  Ex - Abraham Lincoln
